Maxxion R Cement Clinical Application Steps

1. Prepare the cavity by removing only the carious tissue. Since Maxxion R Cement adheres well to dental structure, additional mechanical retention is usually unnecessary.

2. Condition the cavity using polyacrylic acid (Maxxion R liquid) for approximately 10 seconds.

3. Rinse the cavity thoroughly and dry it carefully while avoiding dentin dehydration.

4. Shake both powder and liquid bottles vigorously before dispensing the material.

5. Use the recommended proportion: one shallow scoop of powder to one drop of liquid.

6. First mix half of the powder with the liquid.

7. Then gradually add the remaining powder until a homogeneous paste forms.

8. Apply the cement to the cavity while the mixture still appears shiny.

9. Allow the cement to set.

10. Finally remove excess material after 4–6 minutes using suitable dental instruments.
