Step by Step
Step 1
Isolate the operation field. The isolation must guarantee a field free of moisture with good visualization of the site. If necessary, provide absolute isolation
Step 2
Prepare the cavity according to the adhesive technique.
Step 3
Acid etch the tissues (enamel and dentin). Afterwards, wash with abundant water, removing all acid from the surface, and dry the enamel leaving the dentin moist.
Step 4
Apply the adhesive according to the recommendations of the manufacturer.
Step 5
Insertion of the composite and light curing: the layering technique is recommended because it allows for a better performance of the material. increments of up to 2mm must be inserted, conformed and light cured ( for the time recommended for each specific shade ) in the cavity. Â
Step 6
Fill the cavity in increments until the restoration is concluded. Â
Step 7
For finishing, use sandpaper disks or fine grits burs, and for polishing, it is recommended to use felt disks and polishing paste.
Notes
The checking of the Occlusion is extremely important.
