Description
Benefits
Single application per session:
The product can remain in contact with the teeth for up to 40 minutes without having to be replaced as the ph remains stable throughout the session. Besides, it causes less sensitivity.
Self-catalyzed system:
The exclusive formula of Whiteness HP Blue contains catalysts that make it much more active and efficient, dispensing with the use of external sources of acceleration.
Contains calcium:
Significantly reduces the decay in micro hardness of the enamel, keeping the integrity of the enamel.
Pre-measured portions:
The proportion between the thickener and peroxide phases comes pre-determined and packaged in syringes, which facilitates the process of preparing the gel and saves time. The total measured amount is enough to cover the smile line on both dental arches, without waste.
Ease in mixing the phases:
A syringe coupling system allows the two phases to be easily mixed, ensuring perfect homogeneity.
Does not change color:
The product does not change its color throughout the process making the visual control easier.
Recommendations
- Whitening of vital and non-vital teeth using the in-office whitening technique.
- Naturally dark or yellowish vital teeth.
- Vital teeth darkened by age.
- Vital teeth that are darkened or stained by extrinsic substances such as pigments from coffee, tobacco, tea, etc.
- Vital teeth with light to moderate stains due to fluorosis.
- Vital teeth stained by tetracycline, in case of light stains.
- In more challenging cases (severe darkening) the product can be combined with at- home whitening technique.
Step by step
- Perform prophylaxis of the teeth, leaving the tooth surface free from biofilm. Select and record the patient’s teeth
shade with a shade guide and/or photograph prior to starting whitening. - Proceed to the insertion of the Arcflex (FGM) lip retractor, to facilitate access and handling of the buccal cavity, and then
apply Desensibilize KF 2% for 10 minutes on the teeth that will be whitened. - After applying the desensitizing agent, remove the gel and dry the teeth and gums with air jets. Make the relative isolation by applying the light-curing resin Top dam (FGM).
- Prepare the gel: mix both phases with the connected syringes, pushing the plungers 4 times to each side (totaling 8 times),
then push all the mixed content into one of the syringes. It is now ready to use. - Place the applicator tip on the syringe that remains with the gel, and apply to the teeth to be whitened, usually from 1st or 2nd premolar to the other. Cover the vestibular face of the teeth with a layer as thin as possible of gel, using the applicator tip to spread the product. You may extend the gel’s covering to the. small incisive / occlusal surface area of the teeth. Note: A syringe with 1.2g of gel yields enough for simultaneous application in both arches.
- After applied, the gel must remain in contact with the teeth for up to 40 minutes, during which the professional may move the gel using a probe or disposable micro applicator, such as Cavibrush (FGM), in order to remove the air bubbles and renew contact between gel and teeth. There is no need to change gel during the session. Note: application times for whiteners are suggestions only and must be managed by the professional. Shorter times or interruption of treatment may occur due to dental hyper sensitivity.
- At the end of the session, remove the gel using a thin suction cannula, and wash the teeth thoroughly. Removal of the dam may be done with a probe or similar.
- Polish the teeth with Diamond Excel (FGM) polishing paste and felt disks Diamond
or Diamond Flex (FGM). - The patient Should return in intervals of 7 days, allowing effective checking of the teeth shade. if required, more whitening sessions may be performed according to the step above. In general, we recommended 2 to 3 sessions of whitening to achieve good results.
Important Notes
- To prevent dental hypersensitivity during and after treatment, Desensitize KF2% (FGM) (potassium nitrate at 5% and sodium fluoride at 2%) may be used prior to whitening, in a prophylactic character. The option of applying the desensitizer after whitening is also valid, however less efficient in certain cases. In both cases (prior to or after applying the whitener), Desensitize KF2% (FGM) should be applied to the teeth for 10 minutes. In cases of high hypersensitivity after the session, Desensitize 0.2% (FGM) (at-home use desensitizer) may be applied for 10 minutes into an individual mold, by the patient, on daily basis until the symptoms disappear.
- Monitor patient throughout the whitening regarding dental hypersensitivity and possible spots of peroxide irritation in soft tissues. Cracks on the enamel or exposure of dentine may cause acute and intense pain. In these cases, we recommend interrupting the treatment, seeking corrective treatment prior to resuming.
- If the whitening obtained does not meet the expectations, and the patient does not present hypersensitivity or other issues, you may reapply the product for up to two more sessions, totaling three sessions. If more than one session is required, consider a minimum interval between sessions of 7 days. 4. Once the whitener is mixed, it should be consumed during the same session. The gel may not be stored to be used in another session after its handling, as it will lose efficiency. If there is gel remaining after the session, it must be discarded (diluted into water and disposed of at the sink, for instance).
